After School Martial Arts program for only $49 a month! First week FREE!
Time: 1:50pm – 6:00pm
Description: Limited space available, we are offering after school program for children ages 5 and up includes three types of Martial Arts training! Muay Thai, Braziian Jiu Jitsu and Capoeria. We will provide your child(ren) with a safe, clean space to train, learn and play. Daily activities will include arts and crafts, gardening (planting) no bully program weekly, as well as learning Portuguese and instruments, yoga, dance, story time and one movie day a week.
Stand Up, Rise Up Film Series: Before the Flood
Description: Join ECOMB and Earth Ethics Institute at Miami Dade College for the opening night of the Stand Up, Rise Up Film Festival, featuring Leonardo Di Caprio’s Before the Flood. The event will include a reception and keynote speaker at 5:30 pm, the film screening at 6:00 pm, and a panel discussion of distinguished speakers from 7:30 – 8:00 pm. Co-hosts for the opening night of the festival include Dream in Green, Citizen’s Climate Lobby and the Sink or Swim Project, as well as drinks provided by VitaCoco. The film is FREE and open to the public; RSVP is required.

English Cafe at the Main Library
Description: Conversational practice for intermediate students of English. Come to the English Café and have some coffee or tea, a tasty snack, and great talk. This is an informal place to practice spoken English with other supportive students from around the world. This library program is FREE but there may be a nominal cost for parking in the downtown Fort Lauderdale area. There are two parking garages nearby, including one that is connected to the library building by walkway. Come for a visit and bring a friend if you like. The English Café is located at the Main Library on the 5th floor meeting room.

Description: Patients at Wellington Regional Medical Center preparing for a hip, knee, or shoulder replacement can attend this class to help prepare for their surgery and learn about what to expect during their recovery.
Members from WRMC’s nursing, case management, dietitian and physical therapy staff will attend to discuss joint replacement surgery.
